House rules

We welcome you at the ashram which is a monastic and lay Buddhist community. So while you are visiting these premises we ask you to kindly abide the following precepts, which are common to all FPMT centres around the world though we are not affiliated.

Basic features: a single wooden bed, with a cotton mattress and mosquito net.

Rooms

Our 5 rooms in the ashram are for two people with a single bed each. Ask for additional blankets and pillows.

Own private veranda and seating area giving access to the garden and a window.

Shower is available this year (thank you Sonam) with two common shower room.

Toilets are in a separate block 100 metres away from the house in the garden. Bucket flush.

 

Breakfast:
freshly ground coffee and brewed in espresso machine, lemon grass tea (from our garden), fresh bread buns delivered every morning, butter and jam (and sometimes, home-made peanut butter!), eggs, porridge and fruit salad.
 
Lunch & dinner:
A vegetable house curry is cooked including two types of seasonal vegetables and dal, rice and/or chapattis.
 

A typical Goan curry, chick peas in coconut sauce, lady fingers veg. curry and rice.
