The courtyard is open to the air and is bringing much light and peace to the house. Last year in the courtyard we made a sand mandala decorated with seashells collected from the beach. If you have any suggestion on how to decorate it this year please tell us! |

The reception hall gives access to the corridor surrounding the inner courtyard and the shower rooms tucked in between (you can see the tank Sonam installed this year). There are some spiritual books (not dharma) and novels/tourist guides you can borrow. |
Then you are back in the hall. A large altar is facing the reception (used for group pujas or special occasions) and left is the entrance door you came from, leading to the dining terrace. Fancy a cup of tea?

As this is a Buddhist house, we suggest you turn around the inner courtyard clockwise (it generates positive energy). It takes a while to get used to! So take the left corridor when you come in. Pass the courtyard on your right. It gives access to the rooms on the west side (on your left), and going north arriving at the Dharma library. |
Going clockwise in the corridor. Right, the inner courtyard Left, the east wing. |
The Dharma library contains a good selection of prayer books, teachings from Dalai Lama, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, etc. There is a Lam Rim introductory study book and tapes. We even have a traditional Tibetan book (unattached leaves). You gain access to the Gompa (the door near the shelves). |
Back from the gompa into the chill-out Dharma library! You can read a Dharma book or meditate on the teaching you received on the high seat gazing through the opening into the courtyard (Focus on the Dalai Lama picture for example). Or you can carry on back to the reception hall. |
